There seems to be a misunderstanding. I did not give direct permission to use the brand, because It's not just for me to decide, but I supported the idea of collective activity and enthusiasm.
We need to promote this product together with our mappers. I think this is a compromise solution. But for Whitemare 3 we have done only a couple of speedmaps...

Couldn't you just call it as WhitemOre, for example? It's sounds like Whitemare without nighmare, with a LOTS of white instead!
And then in description will been wrote something like: "This mod is spiritual descendant of the famous Whitemare project series and blah-blah-blah".

I am getting trouble using this name for the megawad so you want to be the project leader? If you are leader no one will want or request name change since you already made whitemare 2 with no trouble. If you start it I can submit the maps that I already completed and give it to you

Dude, don't worry about it I will give the project leader position to someone else that everyone give permission to and carry on with mapping, only difference will be is that I won't be the leader anymore but I'll still help out where I can I just won't be the leader so I CAN keep the name as is

Несмотря на то что данная драма вокруг Вайтмэ меня абсолютно не касается, I'll put in my two cents' worth:

First of all, dear mutator, I think that you should honestly determine for yourself is using of "Whitemare" brand essential (AND for what reason) or not.

If it so, then:
1. You must try to gather all opinions of creators the Whitemare series by
a) sending private messages to Wmare creators about your initiative;
b) and opening the poll thread, where is will be reflected your argues and opinions of all Wm mappers.
2. In depends on the results you have to choose - to take into account the opinions or not:
a) your initiative will be approved - nuff said;
b) your initiative will not be approved AND you would accord with it. In that case just change the project's name (with allusion maybe) and continue to working.
c) your initiative will not be approved AND you wouldn't accord with it. In that case just continue work under "Whitemare 3", and since it isn't real patented brand name you will haven't got any legality issues, BUT highly likely rhat your reputation will be harmed in case of this choice.

But if the "Whitemare" brand isn't essential for you (for the moment at least), just keep working under random "dev name"; as StasBFG have wrote:

If I give my position to someone else that everyone approve for the name I like the most then everything will work out good, I am giving away my position to someone else that people will not question or be against like they are now. If they want to take the project leader position I'm more than happy to give it and still make maps for the project but just won't be the project leader to the whitemare 3 wad
